This calculator is designed to allow users to estimate iron dosing rates based on desired concentration of ferric ion in the wastewater, wastewater flowrate, concentration of iron added.
To begin, select the desired parameter from the choose output method drop down menu. Most commonly this will be iron addition flowrate.
Then fill in the parameters in the data input column and select the appropriate units and species from the units and species menus, respectively.
Typical units for Iron Addition Concentration will be either percent weight (%wt) or milligrams per liter (mg/L) and the species will be either ferric chloride (FeCl3) or ferric sulfate (Fe2(SO4)3).
Typical units for Wastewater Iron Concentration will be milligrams per liter (mg/L) ferric ion (Fe3+).
Once all of the data has been entered press the calculate button to calculate the answer.
